“William Glasser's assertion that humans need "to love and be loved, and to feel worthwhile" is at the core of why I chose to be a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (LPC-Intern). Everyone deserves to reside in a place of honest self-acceptance, empowerment, and esteem. Dealing with life's challenges in a healthy way, while accepting love, and accepting one's self in the process can be difficult. “Often when struggling with an issue we hear people say things like, "Just suck it up!" or "Get over it!" Right? Sometimes those statements come from people who really care for us, but they just don't know how to help us deal with our situation. In reality, sometimes the problems we face can seem pretty overwhelming and we just need someone to talk to about them. Someone to really listen. Someone who is objective and can help us search for real solutions.

Bill Middendorf MA LPCC, Counselor in El Paso
“I have been a counselor now for 15 years starting in Denver, Colorado. I have and continue to help clients with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also look at not just depression and anxiety, but also how to treat them through exercise and diet. To me, medication for these conditions are the last resort. Taking care of yourself is important using your body, mind, soul and spirit. I am also not afraid of counseling my clients through spiritually. To get through the hard times in our lives, it is best to talk with a professional counselor. Finding a good counselor can also be difficult. What is a good counselor? To me a good counselor is one who has been through the pain, depression, and anxiety like myself. A counselor who can GUIDE you through this difficult period of your life. I don't just see clients for a few sessions, I can see them over the longhaul regardless of what kind of insurance (or no insurance) they have. You desire the best of counseling!
