My name is Christopher Partin. I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. My practice is a practice that focuses on helping you find solutions and resolution to the problems that are causing issues in your life. I work with adolescents, families, couples, individuals, and veterans.

Inevitably, we all encounter periods in our lives in which what we've learned to that point isn't sufficient for the challenges we now face. I believe therapy can be a safe, supportive environment in which to better understand ourselves and the world and to revisit what we want in life and how to get there. My therapeutic person-centered approach is based on the belief that everyone is inherently good and deserves to be heard. I strive to make individuals feel valued and validated. I use this approach along with different treatment methods to help heal the whole person. I am a Catholic-Christian counselor; yet allow the client to determine how much, if any, faith to incorporate in sessions without projecting my own beliefs onto others.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families in a relaxed setting. I have over 13 years of experience working with mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. I also have over 19 years of experience with career counseling and working with individuals experiencing academic difficulties.

I believe in treating each person individually. I will meet you were you are and try to work to find the solution that is best for you, whether you need help with skills to make changes or just need someone objective to listen and support you through whatever challenges you may be facing. I work with clients of all ages, starting at infancy and running through adulthood. I am trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and EMDR.

I am Sam Amick, a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Certified Master Social Worker. I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Nebraska - Kearney in 2018 followed by my Master’s in Social Work through the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 2021. With 5 years of working in the local school system and a year of teletherapy, I have experience in helping children, adults, and families overcome a variety of life’s challenges. You can find that my services are available in person, in the Grand Island area schools, or over Telehealth.

Theresa is the Executive and Clinical Director at Sozo Family Services. She's a proponent of women's health and has dedicated herself to not only treating women but also educating them about the issues affecting their quality of life. She is personally involved in the training and development of all staff at Sozo Family Services to ensure that every person receives the highest level of care. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, to provide complementary alternative medicine.

My "ideal client" is one who perceives me as his/her ideal therapist. If I am best fit for this client, then I am most useful to this client, and I serve my purpose and this is my ideal client. Together he or she and I would find solutions to the problems. Mental health is not an exact science. Psychotherapy or counseling is an art and science. I believe an effective clinician uses experiential and experimental data. The symptoms, or issues, build up diagnoses whereby we generate treatment options. A clinician tries whatever treatment options within ethical bounds to reach the client/s wellness goals.

I strongly believe that therapy should not be limited to addressing immediate issues, but should also focus on long-term growth and fulfillment. In my practice, I encourage my clients to explore their goals and aspirations and work towards leading more fulfilling lives. The approach that I have to psychotherapy is to address the individuals needs, based on how they are viewing their world. The concerns of the individual becomes the focus of how they are utilizing their strengths and to provide supportive techniques for there success. Defining the goals and the pathways to reaching their goals is vital in the success of the therapeutic relationship. If we could look at this relationship as a partnership, then we can work together towards overall improvement of functioning.
