I provide neuropsychological testing and evaluation services for children and adolescents struggling with the various challenges that can impact learning and school success. Comprehensive neuropsychological and educational assessments help parents better understand a student's learning profile and strengths and weaknesses, and help to identify underlying processing deficits, learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia), executive functioning and organizational difficulties, attentional deficits and ADHD, as well as social-emotional-behavioral challenges that may be impacting school functioning such as ASD, anxiety, or depression.

A comprehensive evaluation is often the first step in helping to understand an individual's difficulties, cognitive profile and learning differences. Working for years in ADHD clinics and neurodevelopmental centers has fostered my expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for various cognitive, behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adults. I also have expertise in assessing the neurocognitive effects of chronic Lyme disease and fetal alcohol syndrome. All therapy and testing services are currently provided via telehealth.

We primarily serve children with social challenges, anxiety, learning difficulties, ASD, and challenging behavior. We love working with parents and collaborating with schools to provide children with the best care possible and to promote generalization of skills across settings.

As a clinical neuropsychologist I work with clients to identify areas of cognitive strength and weakness and relate those patterns to known profiles of brain-behavior relationship. The process involves an interview, collateral contacts, and carefully selected standardized assessment of brain and emotional functioning. A neuropsychological evaluation may help identify dementia, direct therapies after traumatic brain injury, or tease out ADHD from learning disorder and other developmental conditions.

Working with clients from ethnic minority groups is my passion; especially Brazilians, Latinos and Native Americans. Having experienced being an immigrant myself while living in Brazil, I am very aware of the unique difficulties facing newly arrived immigrants.
