My approach to treatment is very client-centered - people enter treatment at various stages of readiness and I am here to meet you wherever you may be. I understand the nuances of beginning therapy, meeting a new therapist, setting goals, sharing personal information, and ironing out your biggest concerns - even when you feel unsure. I make it a priority to attempt to schedule new clients within about a week's time once a request for services has been made.

My specialty is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) which research has shown to be effective for many types of mental health and relationship issues. CBT focuses on solving current problems in a time-sensitive and structured way, along with teaching clients how to modify thinking and behavior that is getting in the way of living the life they want. I work with clients to help them get through their current crisis, and if needed, to explore past issues that continue to make it difficult to move forward.
