“Making the decision to seek professional support is truly a personal experience. It's important to find a therapist that you believe can meet your needs. Having worked in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over 16 years I understand the principles of honesty and humility in the healing and recovery process. I am also aware of how difficult it can be to adapt to a new way of living and being. If you are tired of hurting and feeling alone with your fears I am prepared to support you in resolving the resistance to embracing your opportunity at full recovery.

“I believe that people want and need to be understood by themselves and by other people. Without this, life and relationships can feel hollow and lonely. At the most difficult times, problems with others, depression and anxiety, unmet goals, and the critical ways you feel about yourself can be too much to bear and feel too hard to change. But change comes with the development of a therapy relationship fostered by careful listening, trust, curiosity, honesty, and taking chances.

““The truth will set you free”... I became a therapist because I believe that through relationship, listening, and talking, a tremendous amount of healing can take place in a person's life. I believe in people and the potential for change and growth in their lives. I see therapy as a partnership in facilitating that change. I help people to free themselves from various things that hold them down, guilt, anger, shame, addictions, anxiety... I attempt to help people establish a more solid foundation of self worth, balance, love and flexibility to be able to negotiate the world, their relationships and themselves more successfully.
