Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LCSW
“Everyone faces adversity in their lives, but with the right coping skills and support, one can learn to move through life feeling healthy, happy and whole. A therapist can offer the trust, connection, time and attention necessary to help their client achieve his or her personal goals, whether it's learning to break free from a cycle of anxiety and/or depression, dealing with loss, struggling with self-esteem or dealing with an eating disorder. The therapeutic relationship can be a corrective experience, allowing clients to take what is learned in therapy and use it in everyday relationships and experiences.

Suzanne Rubinetti, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Morristown
“I bring a sense of empowernment, confidence and security into my work. These qualities, I believe are some of lifes most valuable assets . The responsibilities that we as women face today can be overwhelming. These demands can become so intense that maladaptive patterns of behavior can ensue.Women often neglect their own emotional needs. Often symptoms such as binge eating, rigid dieting, substance abuse, depression and anxiety emerge and make it difficult for women to function at an optimum level of health. Sometimes women experience an exacerbation in physical symptoms such as TMJ disorders, migraine headaches and chronic back pain.

Reaching out for professional help can be difficult, but turning to friends and family may not always be the best option and ignoring problems won't make them go away. Remember: you don't have to do this alone - I'm here for you.

Milestones Eating Disorder Program, Treatment Facility in Chatham
“Milestones provides residential as well as day treatment programs for individuals suffering with Compulsive Overeating, Bulimia, Anorexia, and related disorders. We are a therapeutic community whose mission is to offer a supportive environment from which to begin a new way of life... a life way we refer to as "recovery." Milestones follows a "blended" approach to treatment - addressing both the "addictive" and emotional aspects of an eating disorder. Residents attend a full schedule of group and individual activities during the day as well as participate in various support groups during evenings and weekends. Grocery shopping, meal preparation, and "real world" experiences are an integral part of the program. Unlike a traditional hospital environment, Milestones affords an opportunity to recover in a less restrictive setting while still receiving the support and structure necessary to overcome the tyranny of an eating disorder. Residential Treatment of Eating Disorders Milestones accepts both local and out of area residents, with most of the program's participants coming to us from throughout the United States as well as internationally. Located in South Florida, Milestones is near two major airports serving the area as well as in close proximity to a variety of resources and attractions.

“People usually come to me wanting and needing change relatively quickly for their issues related to drugs and alcohol, eating, or as concerned family members. People often feel some shame, or a lot of it, around their problems. I have had success in orienting people to these problems and motivating them to find their way to hope, happiness, and a "recovered" life. Raising a person's true self-confidence is usually a part of the treatment. No two people are exactly alike so I adapt to the counseling needs of my clients. These are treatable issues, so seek help!

“Therapy can create opportunities for change. It is a process and can be risky at times. A current situation may be uncomfortable, but it is often familiar and resistant to change. Sometimes gaining acceptance from others becomes more important than gaining acceptance of oneself.

Beth L Haessig, Psychologist in Denville
“My first session is free if you're not interested in a second one. I find this policy allows people to first see if I'm the person they want to work with--before making a commitment. As president of the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP.org) I am not a traditional talk therapist. I trained 6 years beyond my psychology doctorate in Core Energtics, a body-centered psychotherapy practiced throughout the world. Through movement, breath, and mindfulness, I help you really experience feeling- states in your body. The stuck thoughts unconsciously held, are realized.

“Be confident in who you are and the way you look. There are many issues women and girls struggle with today as the pressures in our society increase. Trying to look perfect and confident every day or attempting to balance work and family without missing a beat, can often lead to feelings of failure, insecurity and inadequacy. Taking the time to learn effective ways to feel good and manage your stress levels is the key to a happier and more fulfilling life.
