I have been in private practice for over 15 years specializing in treating individuals from age 12 into older adulthood. I have extensive psychodynamic training but ulilize an eclectic intervention approach. I believe in direct and honest feedback which works well for most patients.

People tend come to my practice because they're looking for a collaborative, purposeful, and nonjudgmental space to work through social, emotional, or sexual issues they're tired of struggling with on their own. Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ people who take comfort in the fact that I'm already knowledgable and experienced with queer issues. I also regularly work with people experiencing anxiety and depression, people recovering from abusive relationships, and people experiencing sexual difficulties including pain, dysfunction, and shame around their desires or behaviors.

It takes courage to reckon with some of the most private, honest, scary, and hopeful places within you. Effective support during these times can be transformational. You may want to discover new ways of being in the world, your skin, and your life that feel authentic, and alive. Or, you may be wanting relief from painful relationship patterns, anger, grief, fear, self-criticism, “stuckness” or addiction. I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling, CAGS in Expressive Arts, and am IFS trained.

Her practice is open to individuals, couples, and families. Dr. Freier also focuses on working with college students and their families.
