My name is Brittany Barnes and I am in Palm Beach County, Florida. My education and professional background in mental wellness, trauma, and navigating the impact of socially constructed norms and expectations on self-healing gives me a unique and effective approach to counseling. I work collaboratively with clients to create a focused treatment outline with attainable goals that can be successfully integrated into their daily lives.

Therapy should be a space to help you better understand yourself and how you got to where you are now. My job is to help you do just that. The ideal client for me is one who enjoys learning, willing to use skills/tools outside of therapy, and be introspective to cause a shift in their life to live differently and accomplish their goals in a collaborative manner. I credit my arts-focused education for the creative therapeutic approach I bring to my position and to each client. I began my career in the mental and behavioral health field as an art therapist, where I first experienced the transformative power that a compassionate, client-centered, humanistic therapeutic relationship would have on my clients. I have worked as an art therapist and primary clinical therapist in several clinical and hospital settings in NJ, PA, and FL.
