The PsychoNeuroPlasticity (PNP) Center is currently accepting children, adolescents and adults who may be living with ADD/ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety, Depression, Memory, and Brain-Health concerns as well as other Neurological and Spectrum Disorders. We offer a comprehensive 2-day brain-based assessment along with three-month follow-up and treatment planning.

Dr. McFarland is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor as well as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Tamara is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator trained by Dr. Brené Brown and her team. Tamara studied marriage and family dynamics in her doctorate program. She is certified in the Gottman marriage counseling method I & II and utilizes Sue Johnson's theory of Emotionally Focused Therapy for repairing attachment in couples work. Tamara is trained in EMDR therapy I & II which is used for treating trauma.

I do a lot of work with individuals and couples struggling in relationship issues. Anxiety, depression, conflict management and communication issues tend to be the results of clients applying ineffective solutions to the problems they're experiencing. I love to see the individual and/or couple who seriously desire healthy change in their lives and are willing to risk implementing different approaches to their problems. I work well in family related issues. I have several adolescent guys with issues related to ADD, ADHD, and Aspergers. I offer them an environment that's safe, accepting, understanding and validating.

Our current and past life circumstances can often leave us with feelings of stress, anxiety, and sadness. These emotions can be confusing and difficult to manage and process. My goal is to come alongside clients to reach personal goals, using warmth, understanding, and acceptance. I will work with you, with you in the driver’s seat, to set goals, explore and gain understanding of yourself, process your emotions in a safe space, reframe negative beliefs about self, and find solutions that work for you. I enjoy working with clients with a variety of concerns including general anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

I love diversity! I especially enjoy working with clients who have never been to therapy before. I pride myself on making clients feel comfortable. I start with wherever the client is, which means we move as quickly or as slowly in therapy as they feel comfortable. I emphasize a safe environment for the counseling session. My down-to-earth approach provides clients with the professional counseling relationship they need to work through their stresses & problem situations without the uncomfortable feeling of working with a "stuffy" therapist. Hello! I’m Alexcea and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. My degree specialization was child and adolescent counseling, where I focused uniquely on trauma-informed therapy. I completed my internship at a domestic violence agency where I offered such care to children, adolescents, and adults.

Todd and his wife Adelita are active members of First Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. They have two children, Avery & Aleksandra. Both he and his wife enjoy both indoor and sand volleyball, tennis, being outdoors, and working on the house. They value both friends and family and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with them. And, of course, they enjoy spending very valuable time with their blessed children.
