I have a passion to meet individuals, women, and adolescents where they are and walk with them through the struggles that life often brings. As your counselor, my hope is to create a safe environment for you to be yourself, in order to give you the space to process and talk through things you may not normally talk about with just anyone. I strive to walk alongside you and provide tools to help you move towards healing.

It’s usually not easy telling a complete stranger your hidden fears and secrets. However, being honest and vulnerable as you process emotions is the doorway to freedom. I've been in the receiving side of therapy before so I know what it's like to take this first step. As a Christian therapist, I want to offer to my clients the hope of an abundant life; regardless of your circumstances. These include for you to feel heard, have hope, receive healing skills, empathy and understanding. This helps clients work through their difficulties and struggles; while reminding them of and building on their strengths and current resources.

I fight for my clients and gently challenge them to not give up but instead learn better coping mechanisms so they can get through the difficult times in their lives. This is how I invest in them. I will, however, move at your pace, and if you simply need a space to digest things, we may do so together while you discover more constructive methods to deal with trying circumstances.

I've worked with individuals for around 15 years in a variety of settings. These settings include being a teacher, school counselor, online therapist and a therapist at a behavioral health hospital. I have experience in helping individuals with stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and addictions.

Reaching out takes great courage, especially when someone is seeking guidance. Life has the tendency to cause people to cope in ways that are not necessarily beneficial. They may develop problems like depression or anxiety as a result of stressors. Or, they may turn towards abusing substances as a way to change how they feel. Reaching out for help during this time may be scary and seem impossible. My goal, as a therapist, is to come alongside my clients so that they don’t walk alone through whatever may be troubling them. I hope to be able to help anyone struggling to deal with life on life’s terms.

I believe that people struggle with coping with changes in their lives whether it is a change inflicted by grief, divorce, life transitions or a new job or relationship. These changes can make people question their reality and who they are in life affecting those around them. I help give individuals, families or couples developer tools to empower themselves to overcome those changes and develop better connections with others.
