I have worked with clients on a variety of mental-health issues including anxiety, depression, chemical dependency, mood disorders, anger management, trauma and loss, and behavioral and impulse-control issues. My training is primarily based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, and I am working toward certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing countless couples rediscover and strengthen their bonds. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the unique dynamics that each partnership brings.

I am a Licensed Practicing Counselor in Texas with over 13 years of experience working as a mental health counselor and mentor. I am also a certified teacher and taught in the public school system for 4 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, oppositional defiance, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, addiction, LGBT, parenting problems, career challenges and ADHD.

I am a mental health professional with experience working in various settings; to include: residential addiction, correctional, community, and school based agencies. Those experiences have been rewarding in the opportunities they have provided for me to facilitate and witness client growth. My view of the therapeutic relationship is that of a process in which the client and the therapist build a therapeutic alliance to: explore and identify areas for improvement, develop goals, and work together realizing those goals and optimizing quality of life.

I'm honored to get to hold space with you. I am primarily offering ADHD assessments at this time. I’m passionate about working with clients to confirm or rule out ADHD, and offer subsequent treatment to support in ADHD management and/or the presence of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance misuse, and trauma impact. I'm particularly passionate about working with LGBTQIA+-identified individuals, and believe that liberation of shame is imperative in a strong therapeutic partnership. I fundamentally believe that each of us is doing our best with the tools that we have.
