“If life been challenging lately and you're feeling overwhelmed, counseling can be extremely helpful. I believe each one of us has the strength, perseverance, and ability to overcome adversity and sometimes we simply need help finding and tapping into that strength in order to enjoy what life has to offer. Each client is unique and so are their experiences so my goal is to tailor treatment to best benefit my clients. It is very important that client's feel safe so they can make the necessary changes. I often use humor and creativity to connect with my clients.

“Making the decision to talk to someone about your "problems" can be very scary and anxiety producing. What people often don't realize is that it is a very courageous step toward a more fulfilling life. I encourage my client to not only talk about their "problems" but to talk about what they do that "works". I believe that unlocking your true potential will help you to make choices that are different.

“Everyone needs and deserves health in all forms. I believe therapy is no different than medical treatment or dental care. People often don't want to pursue therapy because they don't think their discomfort is enough to warrant the expense. Whether the sessions are many or few, therapy can make a big difference in how you feel about yourself and how you relate to others. Emotional health is an investment in your quality of life. I utilize interventions based on individualized needs to help people reach their goals and create a fulfilling life.

New Dawn - Medically Supervised Private Detox, Treatment Facility in Sacramento
“Our CARF Accredited Detox program is staffed 24/7 with experienced Doctors, Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Addiction Counselors in a confidential, private residential setting to ensure the most comfortable Detox experience possible. Typically, the detoxification period ranges from 5 - 7 days depending on each individual's physical and psychological condition and the rate at which they progress through the stages of withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms are managed with medication and/or Acupuncture Therapy to minimize any pain or discomfort that is common during the withdrawal phase. A Psychiatric Evaluation occurs within the first 24 hours of admission, followed by additional appointments as necessary for medication management and continued evaluation. Our Detox houses are gender specific, for your comfort and security, and residents are free to participate in individual therapy and to attend groups at our adjacent Residential Treatment center whenever they feel physically able to do so, at no extra charge. Once the Detox phase is complete, residents can then immediately admit into the Residential Treatment program and begin learning about the resources and tools that are available to help them with successful, long-term sobriety.
