When it comes to therapy, I believe that one size does not fit all. I incorporate a variety of treatment approaches that are tailored to each client's unique needs and experiences. We work collaboratively on goals that best reflect your personality, strengths and challenges. Research has shown that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful therapy. I strive to provide a warm, safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel both seen and heard. I have particular expertise in helping clients to navigate life with chronic illness, from adjusting to a new diagnosis to grieving losses to caring for a loved one.
I use a strengths-based approach to help clients identify and build upon existing strengths and resources to cope with challenges and make changes resulting in: better insight, a stronger sense of self, improved mood and ability to regulate emotions, increased ability to manage stress, more satisfying relationships and a greater sense of well-being.
I have been working with children, adolescents and adults for 27 years in a variety of settings. Having graduate degrees and experience in Art Therapy as well as Social Work expands the range of services and tools that I am able to offer. Art therapy provides a safer way to express thoughts and feelings that may seem too difficult to put into words.
