I understand how difficult the decision to begin counseling can be. I want to ease your mind. I have nearly three decades of counseling experience in the state of Arizona, with primary focus on relationships, problems with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress reduction, tobacco cessation, new parent and pregnancy/post partum support. Communication is an important issue in counseling, so I often use Cognitive Behavioral Health strategies, including REBT, DBT and ACT with my clients to explore their styles of communication and improve rational thought. I am fluent in ASL, and will utilize it in therapy with clients who are Deaf or HH.
I am a Board Certified Counselor through The National Board for Certified Counselors. Additionally, I am a member of The National Mental Health Counselors Association and an associate member of the American Psychological Association. Locally, I am an active participant in AZBHN, AZCA, and AZPA.
