I have expertise in stress and anxiety, self-confidence and self-esteem, trauma recovery, and adapting to changes in your life or identity. In addition to helping you to better understand yourself and your challenges, I can teach you techniques to more effectively manage your difficulties and increase your ability to fully experience the joys of life.

Mental health problems often start out as ways of coping. When something bad happens, you might worry about what else could go wrong. This could lead you to over-prepare, try to control outcomes, and avoid certain situations. Over time, you may lose your ability to relax and enjoy life. I can help you to develop more effective skills and to reclaim your joy.

I welcome clients of every ethnicity, cultural background, gender and sexual identity. I practice cultural humility. I work with many LGBTQ+ folks. I have extensive experience working with immigrants - particularly those from Spanish-speaking countries - and first-generation Americans. I provide therapy in English and Spanish.
