Are you tired of being told your thoughts are the problem? Have you been labeled as "too sensitive?" If you are looking to heal the body which holds our pain and trauma and become more empowered to understand your own nervous system, then we may be a good fit. I work with womxn and non-binary clients who experience chronic pain, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, or trauma. I am LGBTQIA+ allied, social justice, and feminist therapist. Clients I work with come in when experiencing life transition, relationship stress, new health diagnoses, career changes, increased pain, or family-of-origin pain.
In therapy we work together to restore feelings of connectedness and reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness. We will use curiosity to understand your nervous system responses and the meanings associated with them to learn how you adapt to your world. Together we can then nurture ways of living in the world that feel safe, connected, and regulating.
I'm so glad you are starting on this journey of exploration. I once started here too and it can feel so unknown. I like to remember "easy does it" and "first things first." Let's start with a consultation to ensure that your questions are answered and goals can be discussed. You can show up however you need to. I hope to hear from you soon.
