My practice name sums up my view that every person has the power to heal themselves and problems are simply symptoms of things that are going on. I specialize in child, adolescent and family therapy and have training in a variety of modalities. As such, I tailor my approaches to best meet your needs (CBT therapies, art and play therapies, behavioral approaches, social skills, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and trauma techniques). Therapy, in its truest sense, is not about comfort because it is never easy dealing with some of our areas but my goal is to make the process supportive and safe.
I have a variety of specialty areas, including ADHD, women's issues, trauma and children. However, I work with a number of clients. If the predominate issue is addiction or the client has a long history of psychiatric hospitalizations, then I am not the best provider for them.
Dr. Rogers-Larke's 30 years in practice is evident in the ability for making abstract concepts concrete and allowing clients to find ways to apply them to their life. Her integrative approach combines several highly trained areas that can be tailored to your specific needs. She also works with the deaf population, families and family reunification.
