Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing. One of the most difficult things is to find a therapist who you feel "gets" you, that you feel you can build rapport with. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and have experience working with children, adolescents and adults, those suffering from trauma, sexual assault, grief and loss, and those struggling with school issues (academic under achievement, bullying, emotional disturbance, students with IEPs) providing services via Google Meet, video phone.
I have worked with victims of rape, sexual assault & domestic violence from children as young as five to adults. I have worked as a mental health therapist at schools for students with emotional disturbance, grief issues & trauma from kindergarten-12th grade. My therapeutic orientation includes Psychodynamic, Solution-Focussed & Trauma-Focused CBT.
I take a respectful, sensitive approach to therapy & acknowledge the client and their circumstances as unique and firstly assist the client in the development of coping skills. As therapy progresses more of the client's past will be explored to help the client work through previously unprocessed issues. I look forward to our working together.
