My life mission has been to learn and understand the many different ways in which our unconscious mind controls our lives, and just as importantly, what to do about it. The fact is that for each and everyone of us, our own unconscious mind has developed and created mistaken and limiting beliefs about ourselves which limit us from reaching our full and complete potential and we are often not even aware of it. This process seems to be universal and reliable research shows that it begins in the very first weeks of life. This is why I focus on helping my clients to find approaches to change the way their own unconscious mind thinks.
We humans are emotional beings & emotions rule our lives. Since both the negative & positive beliefs in our unconscious mind control our emotions, then it follows that the more we can turn negative beliefs into positive ones, the more happy and successful we can become. My 35 years in clinical practice give me skills that only come with experience.
As a mental health counselor, my clients tell me I am very good at helping them create change & personal growth through psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, teaching, counseling and, most importantly, listening & understanding. My Master's degree is from the University of Houston and I have taught at both Houston Baptist University and Houston Community College.
