My counseling practice is guided by 3 core beliefs: (1) Past or current Emotional stress creates imbalance which affects perception, feelings and/or behavior. (2) Awareness of the origins of Imbalance and how it manifests in your relationship with yourself or others is necessary for change. (3) Feeling supported, validated and challenged to incorporate small, realistic change will help you re-balance and move forward with your life.
I work with couples who are struggling to connect and communicate more effectively. Effective communication is the foundation for feeling validated, reducing tension and building intimacy in a relationship. I help couples have more productive conversations about difficult topics that usually do not go well. My role is mediate and facilitate conversations.
Life and its developmental stages come with challenges. Life also comes with supportive help in the form of listening, insight, validation and pathways and perspectives to restore balance.
