"Wisdom knows what feelings are present without being lost in them." - Buddha. Therapy is a collaborative journey where I can help you find relief from emotional distress, gain clarity on your issues, and develop coping skills and tools to move forward. I believe you deserve therapy specifically crafted to fit your personality and lifestyle, as opposed to being treated with some sort of template. I encourage my clients to have open communication with me in order to get their needs met. My goal is to help you experience healing at this time in your life and also gain wisdom for future challenges.
Although it's important to explore your past and painful experiences, we will also examine current patterns of negative thinking, behaving, and feeling(incorporating CBT when needed). I will guide you in examining how your relationships have molded your behaviors and feelings. I incorporate mindfulness theories as a way to increase both coping and insight.
I look forward to getting to know you as a unique individual and sharing this process alongside you. I provide a warm and safe place for you to take on this journey. My overall style is both empathic and challenging when needed. I can help you find more peace of mind and more fulfilling ways of being in the world. Please feel free to reach out to me.
