Is Parenting Feeling Tough Right Now? Being a parent can be great, but it comes with challenges, especially if you're navigating adoption, a blended family, or caring for a relative's child. If you're feeling like things aren't working in your family, know that it's okay to seek help. You're not alone and support is available to guide you through. Hi! I'm Dr. Glenda Clare. I am licensed in mental health and addictions counseling. I've got lived experience being the caregiver for a relative’s child. I also grew up in a blended family. Let's work together to figure out strategies that fit your family. Think Possibilities!
Partnership is key - I’m a nonjudgmental partner, here to create a safe space as I lend a helping hand. I will partner with you to figure out your family dynamics - what’s working well and what needs some adjustment. I use trauma informed, solution-focused practices to help you explore strategies that fit your unique family needs.
When I’m not working, I enjoy good conversation, vegetable gardening and riding my bike. There is so much therapeutic value in watching movies and reading, two of my favorite things, Know that I sometimes give homework assignments that involve movies and books. So much can be learned through witnessing the experiences of others via books and movies.
