My practice focuses on helping you identify intimacy avoidant behaviors & providing support/skills to develop a healthy relationship with one’s self and others. We will address, non-judgmentally, the topics many of us keep hidden in to order reduce chronic feelings of guilt and shame. My specialties include intimacy disorders such as love and sex addictions (including partners of sex and love addicts), eating disorders, body image and weight stigma, work and financial disorders, bariatric support and counseling, and phase of life issues.
I believe in order to change behavior we must be aware of the underlying beliefs that are influencing it. We will explore your beliefs about money, food/body and love and sex and how it may be negatively impacting behavior.
I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves and more aware of their choices, they are more capable of finding contentment in their lives. While beginning therapy may seem scary, it can be an empowering and fulfilling decision.
