Jen received her B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Art from Northwest Missouri State University and recieved a M.S. in Art Therapy from the College of New Rochelle in New York.. For over 20 years, she has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including psychiatric hospitals, therapeutic arts programs and outpatient mental health agencies. She is a registered and board certified art therapist and a member of the American Art Therapy Association and its local chapter. Jen also has extensive experience and training in play therapy, TF-CBT and is a Level 2 trained EMDR therapist.
In a unique attic studio, Jen thoroughly enjoys working with young people of all ages and admires the way kids develop creative strategies to express themselves and manage their lives. She uses strength based approaches and evidence based techniques to help kids cope and develop healthier coping skills to deal with trauma, substance abuse, & grief.
