I believe psychotherapy offers an opportunity to know one's self with greater compassion and awareness. As an insight-oriented therapist, I am interested in exploring each client's history (family, relational, psychological) as well as identifying the emotional and cognitive habits that may be interfering with relationships, work, creativity, and/or a sense of direction or efficacy in one's life. Through this collaborative process, we can address specific emotional problems (depression/anxiety), seek resolution of a painful or traumatic personal history, and/or work towards making a change in one's relational or work life.
I have conducted a private practice in Montpelier for 22 years, serving primarily adults, couples, and older teenagers. I have extensive experience addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, loss, grief, relationships (marriage, parenting, divorce/separation, infidelity), and mid-life to later-life transitions.
