I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with almost 25 years of experience in working with adolescents, adults and families. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a locked facility for juveniles, doctor offices within a hospital setting, a charter school which specialized in individualized and flexible strategies to teach the children, an adoption agency performing assessments and conducting birth parent counseling, and a community mental health center. I have been in private practice for the last 8 years.
Much of my experience includes assisting individuals and families dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, and other disruptive behaviors including sexually inappropriate behaviors. I also have significant experience in helping individuals struggling with weight loss issues. I take a solution focused and cognitive behavioral approach when dealing with clients.
My goal for every client is that their awareness improves and they are able to take steps toward a healthier and happier life. I am committed to helping each client gain insight and build on their strengths.
