If you are struggling with mood, anxiety, motivation, energy, sleep, preparing for or adjusting to a new baby, having relationship turbulence, or difficulties at work or school, I may be able to help. I work with a lot of college students, parents, and corporate workers to help gain clarity, resolve symptoms, build resiliency skills, and get unstuck from unhelpful patterns. I have a specialty interest and intensive training experience in prenatal and postpartum issues and enjoy helping moms and dads navigate the beginning of parenthood. As a yoga student and teacher, I'm a big fan of using yoga practices to assist with healing.
I am a very practical person and strive to provide therapy that is focused and effective and at the same time compassionate and engaging. Part of my approach includes assisting with building the emotional muscles and skills needed to tolerate the psychological and situational stress that may be fueling your difficulties. Think of therapy as a mental gym.
We generally use several approaches, including Experiential Therapy (Process Model), CBT & DBT (for practical skills), IFS, Brainspotting, and Yoga methods, depending on your needs and personality. Each session aims to support you in three domains: Emotional & cognitive processing, building new skills, and working on bite-sized goals between sessions.

Groups
Art Therapy for Moms
This is an online group to help new and not-so-new moms with parenthood struggles. The group provides a safe space to connect with other moms while making art. Don't worry--you don't have to be Van Gogh to do art therapy. In fact, you don't need to have any artistic skills at all. Art therapy is all about organizing your inner experience through creative expression, whatever the result looks like. Each group includes a meditation, art prompt based on the topic of the day (with a menu of 2-3 variations), and processing discussion.
