Are you seeking safety, understanding and empathy? I've learned to build a very safe environment for clients, one where the client can be just who they need to be in that moment and that there's no judgment for that, that they can come forward with what's really hurting them or frightening them and we can actually address it in a way that makes sense to them.
What I perceive to be success in therapy is defined by the client saying that they're feeling that they're growing and expanding. And understanding themselves deeper and others deeper, that their love for themselves and others grow, and that they feel safer and more calm over time, and that they feel a sense that they can create what they want in their life.
I so enjoy first helping the client determine what's important to them and then going where they lead toward what would make their life better. I want to support people to take a path that is of their own choosing and that they define for themselves.
