There’s a button that hangs on the bulletin board above my desk. It reads: It’s not easy being. No matter how well you’ve planned, how hard you’ve tried and despite all your best intentions, life is just hard sometimes. We all suffer at some point. That doesn’t mean we can’t live rich and meaningful lives and be the people we want to be. Past experiences, current circumstances, relationship difficulties, and old patterns of thinking and reacting can sometimes get in the way and keep us stuck and struggling. If this is happening with you, it makes sense to seek help.
I work with people to explore current struggles, increase self-awareness, modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and understand and heal from difficult early experiences and relationships. I’m a down-to-earth and relatable therapist, with experience helping adults with life transitions, anxiety, depression, loss, relationship and health issues.
My own mindfulness practice grounds our work in compassion and acceptance. We will be honest and real with each other, even if that’s tough sometimes.
