I enjoy working with ages 18 to 99 in all areas of personal growth. I treat many issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, work or school issues, trauma, and substance abuse. I am trained in EMDR for processing trauma. As a writer myself, I try to help clients discover and nurture their own creative gifts as we seek imaginative solutions to challenges.
If your issues stem from unprocessed trauma, I welcome the opportunity to help you process that, whether through EMDR or through art or writing.
I have an MFA in Creative Writing and taught for 20 years. The power of writing is what led me to counseling. I lead eight-week workshops called Poetry as Survival, where we use poetry to process trauma. If poetry is not your thing, tell me what is.
