I truly enjoy helping people move forward in their lives. My primary orientation is relational where therapist and client co-create the therapeutic process. I like to take the time to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. Working within an atmosphere of trust and openness allows true growth to happen. I'm a very creative person and able to work across therapeutic modalities to meet the needs of each client.
I have a special interest in helping people through change and transition. Sometimes, these changes are related to external events, such as separation/divorce or the loss of a loved one. Other times, we can feel a strong internal need to make a new beginning. I feel that transitional times can be very powerful in our lives.
I have worked as a psychotherapist for over 25 years and continue to love it! I feel that I learn so much from each client I work with. Working in the greater DC area, it has been especially rewarding to work with people from many different cultural backgrounds. I look forward to meeting with you and exploring the possibility of our working together.
