People begin to heal when they feel seen, heard and understood. Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Perfectionism, and Attachment Injuries are the areas that I specialize in. My practice philosophy believes in the importance in getting to the root (the 'why') of the challenges that you are experiencing; which usually stem from childhood. I can help you to process and make connections between your history and the impact it may be having on you now; learn effective ways of coping, and shift maladaptive thoughts (i.e. strong inner critic) and behaviours (i.e procrastination) to ones that are adaptive and healthy.
My therapy style is direct, warm, authentic, empathetic and non-judgmental. Clients tell me that they find me easy to talk to. I mostly operate from Psychodynamic, Relational, Attachment-Based, and Emotionally Focused approaches. However, I also integrate principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
