Melissa Bannerot, MSW, LSW, EMDR, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Colorado Springs
If you are tired of talking about your problems and want to get back to living your life, EMDR may be the therapy for you. My intention as your therapist is to help you thrive in life rather than just survive. Life events can lead a person to live in survival mode. Even seemingly minor, uneventful occurrences can roll around in our head and lead us to believe disempowering lies about ourselves. I help my clients process those events and create and process empowering truths about themselves. My practice is about helping clients heal their relationship with themselves and others.
EMDR & mindfulness, among other therapies I practice will help you to heal from past traumas and assist you to live in the present. Past traumas include catastrophic events as well as personal crises such as emotional/physical/sexual abuse, a conflict at home or work, even a sporting accident.
Helping my clients become more mindful helps my clients better understand what triggers them and why. Call me for a free 20 minute intitial phone consultation. We can also have a few email exchanges to help you decide if we are a good fit before you schedule a session.
