Play is children's natural mode of expression. Through Play Therapy, children are able to work through their situations in their preferred way. Through reflective listening and freedom of expression, children gain confidence and creative problem solving skills to understand themselves better. children may use sand, story telling, art, games, puppets, and other expressive modalities to manage their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. As children build their self esteem, their relationships with friends and family improves.
Through Play Therapy children learn about themselves and their surroundings, their capabilities, and their limitations. Children use play to learn new skills, how to handle anger and frustration, problem solve, and increase their self-esteem and ability to communicate.
I work with my clients in a creative and enjoyable way. My stye is personable and interactive. I help my clients explore the underlying issues behind their stated symptoms or problems. My clients may use sand, art, expressive narratives, and more to make the therapeutic experience fun and personally useful.

Teens: Each week, a group of six to eight girls of similar age and development meet with a counselor for one hour.the girls take turns talking and listening to one another about their concerns and interests. The girls express themselves further through creative activities such as games, art, sand play, and more. Themes may include self-esteem, friendships, body image, goals, relationships, and more. When girls can express themselves in a safe environment with a supportive counselor, they gain greater awareness of their options and strengthen their ability to make choices that are consistent with their values, interests, and talents.
