I truly value the work I do and the courage and willingness it takes to for my clients to engage in self-exploration. Therefore, I make every effort to honor this process and create a safe, non-judgemental, comfortable and supportive space where clients can begin to feel empowered and gain more control over their life struggles. I offer affordable, thoughtful and sensitive care to individuals, couples and groups dealing with issues related to: Sex Therapy, Sexual Dysfunction, Depression, Anxiety, Childhood Sexual Abuse Survivors, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Transitions, Stress Reduction, Relationships and LGBT.
I have a great deal of interest in working with dating singles, couples, and those looking to resolve relationship problems. As an intimacy expert, I have had extensive training and experience in sex therapy and I am the author of Seeking Soulmate: Ditch Dating Distress and Find Real Connection.
I am trained and certified in CBT by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Using mindful presence and a clinically skillful approach is central to my work. Chamin Ajjan's Groups

Melissa's Group for Survivors

Women Survivors of any type of childhood sexual abuse are invited to join this group. I personally designed it to help women understand the effects of trauma, reduce feelings of shame and guilt, and empower group members in a safe and confidential environment. This 12-session group progresses through 3 stages: Trauma and Its Manifestations, Telling Your Story, and Empowerment. Groups are limited to 3-5 members to ensure the safety and the comfort they need to disclose difficult information.
