Pauline Coogan, MEd, Registered Psychotherapist in Toronto
When we feel safe, we can begin to heal and grow. I know this from my own experience and from my years of helping people reduce their suffering and find their way through difficult or confusing times. The therapy I provide begins with creating a space for you to feel safe and supported. This includes valuing who you are, how you came to be and what you presently seek for yourself--whether it's reducing unwanted emotions, thoughts or behaviours, improving your relationships, or simply feeling better about yourself.
I am a registered psychotherapist with a master's degree in counselling psychology. With respect, mindfulness and compassion, I help people become aware of and transform their habitual (usually unconscious) patterns of reacting and coping that are getting in the way of them living more satisfying lives.
Finding the right therapist to work with can feel overwhelming. To ease this process, I offer a free consultation over the telephone during which we can get to know each other a little before committing to a first appointment. If needed for insurance coverage, I am able to provide services in association with a psychologist.
