Kendra Haluska, PsyD, Psychologist in Somerville
Is your child or teen struggling emotionally, and as a parent you're feeling overwhelmed? You don't have to handle these problems alone. In addition to working with adults, I specialize in treating children and teens who will have a safe, supportive space to explore their feelings. Psychotherapy can be beneficial for a number of problems, helping to improve your mood, sense of self-worth, your relationships, your outlook on life, and bring an overall improvement to your well-being. I provide a compassionate, emotionally safe, and non-judgmental space for you to explore the difficulties that you are facing.
With over 15 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings and all ages, I have sub specialties such as child/adolescent issues, anxiety and panic disorders, and parenting struggles. I draw upon a unique combination of psychotherapy approaches, both psychodynamic and CBT, to better individualize your treatment.
A uniqueness to my approach is to combine traditional psychotherapy with adjunctive techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and the creative arts, to empower individuals to develop new levels of expression. Your treatment will be individualized to ensure you meet the goals you aspire to.
