Yael DiPlacido, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Washington
I help adult individuals and couples to find a sense of balance, relieve the effects of stress, trauma, anxiety and depression, and build meaningful relationships. My goal is to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself, in a way that is most authentic to you. Typically, I will work with you to create a safe environment in which you could work through your thoughts and feelings, and find the insight and tools you need to move beyond old limiting beliefs and behaviors.
Together, we'll examine how different areas of your life contribute to your discomfort, and develop a plan for each of these areas. I will help you rediscover existing personal strengths, resources, and coping skills. Also, you will be able to learn new coping skills, stress management and relaxation techniques.
You will also be able to learn new communication techniques that will help you build deeper and truer relationships. I work holistically, and draw on a combine experience of over 15 years in the field. Video sessions are available. Please call for a free 20 minutes phone consultation.

Yael DiPlacido's Groups

Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse

13 weeks long, psychoeducational group, that will have an educational component and a psychological support component. Every week we will discuss a topic relevant to the experience of survivors, such as safety, trust, relationships, anger, grief, and more. Coping skills for dealing with flashbacks, anxiety, and depression will be introduced and discussed throughout the sessions. You will not be required to share your story with the group. A one hour assessment is required prior to registration, to help us determine if the group is a good fit for you at this stage of your healing process. Assessment cost is $50.
