April Wright, MA, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Marina Del Rey
I believe passionately in the power of the therapeutic relationship. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I know that training, experience, & expertise are essential, but ultimately it is the interpersonal interaction and connection between the therapist & the client that determines growth and healing. I completed my undergraduate degree in Dietetics from James Madison University, my masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, & my coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute. I am also trained and certificated by the American Association of Couples and Sex Therapist (AACAST) approach to couples counseling and sex therapy.
I integrate mindfulness, psychosomatic, psychodynamic, CBT, & neuroscience techniques for individuals, couples & groups to help people experiencing depression, anxiety, grief/loss, & difficulties due to life transitions & past circumstances. We work together with the intent to understand how your past may be influencing your present & to develop tools to improve.
With geniune sensitivity, compassion & attuned exploration, I work honestly and directly in a non-judgmental setting. I offer a safe environment to explore, resolve, and assist you during this therapeutic process to embrace greater clarity and release of overwhelming blocks. Your full purpose is soon to be grasped.
