Tom Olschner, PhD, MDiv, CSAT-S, Psychologist in Westminster
Has your life or marriage been strained by compulsive sexual behavior? Do you keep promising yourself to stop your online sexual behavior, but find yourself returning to it again? Have you been hurt by an affair or feel rejected by your partner's use of porn? I can help you assess the problem and embark on a path of recovery, healing, and rebuilding trust. I have 25 years of experience helping couples face these difficult issues. I believe that couples create a powerful bond and that the power in their relationship can be a source for accountability, building healthier habits, and restoring love and affection.
I have been a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist since that certification was created in the 1990's. No one can recover from sex addiction on his/her own. But with a clear plan of recovery and support from others, we can grow from compulsion and shame into sobriety, intimacy, and joy.
I have specialized in couples therapy for over 20 years. I believe that marriage is difficult, but also has the greatest potential for meeting our deepest needs and healing our deepest wounds. My work is focused on the here-and-now in the session, empowering couples to speak their loving truth to each other.

Recovery from Sex Addiction, Group 2

I currently lead three weekly psychotherapy groups for men recovering from sex addiction. These are open-ended groups where men learn to develop relationships of acceptance, accountability, and encouragement in their recovery. There is a dual focus on working an effective recovery and overcoming relational intimacy deficits. Workbooks by Patrick Carnes serve a psychoeducational function as well as create opportunities to deeply understand oneself and how to accomplish personal recovery and sobriety.
