Britt Frank, LSCSW, LCSW, SEP, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Mission
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged? Is your child or teen experiencing distress? The Greenhouse KC is where we create the conditions for change.Together, we address overwhelming feelings, challenging life circumstances, relationships, trauma, & grief so you can feel better, function at a higher level, and become empowered to make choices. I offer Somatic Experiencing (SE), which is a method that does NOT require hours of talking about your "story" or reliving your past. I also offer play therapy for children 3+.
One of my favorite sayings is, "You can't stop the waves, but you CAN learn to surf." When your nervous system is regulated, you can "surf" with life's ups & downs. SE can help if you feel "shut down," struggle with perfectionism, constantly become angry, or are "stuck."
I believe in creativity & curiosity, and use a collaborative approach. I received my BA from Duke University, my MSW from KU, and am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I am also an adjunct professor at The University of Kansas and a member of Duke University's Alumni Admissions Committee.
