Daniel Lancaster, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Bountiful
I operate from the core belief that accurate self-understanding leads to psychological healing and personal growth. I profoundly respect the fact that the struggles of life have something to teach us and I view people as a complex interplay of their biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions.
I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, depression, and anxiety; especially in connection with co-morbid medical conditions (i.e. cancer, chronic illness, maternal mental health, etc). I treat sexual health and couples utilizing the Gottman method. Finally, I address spiritual conflict and religious trauma.
Unique to my practice is the importance I place on existential analysis and exploring issues related to the discovery of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in a persons life; especially as it relates to their specific behaviors, cognitions, and relationships.
