Arlene B. Englander, LCSW, MBA, PA, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in North Palm Beach
If you're looking for a therapist who'll do more than just listen, who will give you feedback and work with you to help you feel better and make your life better, I may be right for you. In more than twenty years, since training at Columbia University, I've helped thousands of people successfully overcome anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, compulsive overeating, grief, and move on to live full, rewarding lives. All my best wishes to you, whoever you choose, Arlene
Given my lengthy experience I use a variety of effective techniques including supportive psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, communications work and assertiveness training. I've developed seminars for laypeople and training programs for professionals that explained or utilized all of these forms of treatment.
I believe in strength-oriented solution-focused psychotherapy which helps clients utilize their strengths to work out better ways of coping, communicating and living their lives. My work is usually relatively short-term (months not years) as my goal is to help clients learn to cope successfully without me!
