Emily Isaacs, MA, MEd in Boulder
I truly believe therapy can help people live fuller lives. I offer a safe, compassionate space for you to explore your challenges, your inner resilience, and ways you can grow. Beyond this foundation, I work with each client to develop their individual goals for therapy. I can help you get perspective on your situation and problem solve. We can also work to access deeply buried emotions through body-centered work involving movement, mindfulness, and EMDR. At the core of it, I help people understand and shift their stories about themselves. And I do this with honesty, integrity, and compassion.
First and foremost, my specialty is working with people wanting support and change. I have over ten years of experience with teens and adults struggling with: grief and loss, life transitions, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma (EMDR), sexual abuse, disordered eating, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and family dynamics.
I work both in the office and outdoors. Whether you are a city person or outdoorsy person, getting outside for an hour or more can help you de-stress, connect, and heal. I teach everything from personally designed ceremony and soul work to nature awareness and technical climbing and backpacking.
