Amanda (Zan) Hathorn-Wilkins, MA, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor in Austin
Often, people who don't fall into rigid categories of male/female, masculine/feminine, straight/gay, or just generally mainstream, have trouble finding acceptance, from others or within themselves. Sometimes finding your place among the gray areas between extremes can be difficult and frightening. So much of society is geared toward overly simplistic dichotomies, that finding yourself fitting into neither or both categories can feel lonely, especially when people around you don't seem to understand. Using authenticity, warmth, humor, and a variety of therapeutic techniques, I can create a comfortable environment to help you guide me through your story.
If you need help finding yourself and how you fit, I'll listen without judging, and let you teach me about yourself and your life. Together, we'll find where you feel comfortable. I hope to help you see your own true beauty, where ever you are on any spectrum.
I work with ages 14-65 individually, with families, and in groups, to help you learn to love yourself, build relationships, and find the paths you seek to the life you need, want, and deserve. Email me questions/intros, call/email Plumeria (info@Plumeriacc.com) to schedule or verify insurance.
