University Park Counseling & Testing Center, PLLC, MEd, LPC, RPT, CAS, Counselor in Dallas
Realizing everyone is unique, I utilize various techniques offering individuals a therapeutic experience tailored to address their needs. With compassion and understanding, I work to help clients build on their strengths to make for a better tomorrow. I am passionate about being with my clients while on their journey and take pride in being a resource for the entire family. I was instrumental in implementing the first-ever counseling program at the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center providing play therapy, child-parent relationship training, and adolescent therapy to clients diagnosed with ASD as well as members of their families.
I am certified to conduct the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2); a semi-structured assessment of communication, social interaction, and play (or imaginative use of materials) for individuals suspected of having autism or other pervasive developmental disorders. The ADOS-2 is the preferred assessment by autism experts.
I was honored to be nominated and named a 2014-2015 Mom's Choice Play Therapist in the DFWChild.Com Magazine. While demonstrating my dedication to treating neurodevelopmental disorders, I became one of the first therapist in the State of Texas to become a Certified AutPlay® Level II Therapy Provider.
