Erin Mundy Wheeler, LCSW, PCGC, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Chicago
Entering therapy is a vulnerable step for the individuals and couples I work with, which is why I believe it's important to bring both warmth AND knowledge to this process of change. While I see individuals with a large number of presenting issues, I have a strong background in working with couples and parents who are looking to find balance and improve intimacy, trust and communication in their relationship.
With specialized training in women's reproductive mental health and perinatal mood disorders, I work extensively with women and families transitioning to parenthood. I often use activities and interactive feedback in sessions so that skills can be understood on a deeper level before being practiced outside of the therapy room.
I am located at a practice called Wildflower Center For Emotional Health which is conveniently located in River North (right by the Chicago Brown Line). I offer early morning, lunchtime, evening and weekend appointments in order to make therapy accessible for working individuals and families.
