Erin Mundy Wheeler, LCSW, PCGC, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Chicago
I offer therapy to individuals and couples using goal-oriented behavioral approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT). In my work with clients I explain that significant change usually involves BOTH accepting parts of our reality which we have little control over (struggling with this often keep us stuck) AND defining the actions we can take to move towards a more meaningful life. It takes a lot of vulnerability to start this journey towards change, and so I will always work hard to be in tune with what you feel you need and what is important to you.
I specialize in women's reproductive mental health and perinatal mood disorders. I particularly love working with women and families as they transition to parenthood. I also have a certification in the treatment of compulsive gambling and have experience treating other behavioral addictions such as compulsive shopping and Internet addiction.
I am located at a practice called Wildflower Center For Emotional Health which is conveniently located in River North (right by the Chicago Brown Line). I offer early morning, lunchtime, evening and weekend appointments in order to make therapy accessible for working individuals and families.
