Noam Schneck, PhD, Psychologist in New York
People generally come to therapy during times of struggle and difficulty. Working together, we will find a path of meaning and hope through the difficulties that bring you to therapy. In this process, a particular challenge becomes a path that one walks to further understand and develop themselves. At the same time, we will work to develop greater control over your thoughts and behaviors using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University where I study suicide bereavement. I bring my experience conducting a suicide bereavement study to the therapy room. You can find out more about my work by watching the TV interview linked through the website button on the side of the screen.
In addition to specializing in suicide-loss I am also trained in CBT for depression, self-harm, general coping skills development, anxiety and insomnia. I also make use of psychodynamic and relational approaches to assist with social, family, and personal challenges.
