Merle Mullins, LCSW, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Harrisburg
I am especially interested in helping people overcome the many issues that arise in family life: marital discord, healing after an affair, parenting strategies, anger management, addictions, step-family difficulties, or dealing with separation or divorce. I also help children and youth as well as adults deal with behavior problems and relationship issues in the workplace, school, or community, such as depression, anxiety, stress, substance abuse, obessions and compulsions, grief and loss, and an inability to find meaning or purpose in life.
Generally, I use brief, solution-focused therapy, which means that after just 6-8 sessions, people can often clearly see what's been happening in their relationships, and have a good sense of what to do about it.
I like to use research-backed techniques and teach communication skills that have been shown to work. I have great respect for your religious beliefs. I may help you get back in touch with them, because I believe your OWN faith can help you make important choices in your life.
