Marian Camden, PsyD, MA, Psychologist in Centennial
If you are dealing with a divorce, you are coming to the right place. I help parents figure out good parenting time schedules for their children, work on their communication as co-parents, offer mediation services, and support parents in helping their children do well through the process. Or maybe you are an adult going through a divorce and need someone just for you, to talk to, bounce ideas off of, recover from emotional and verbal battering, learn to set better boundaries with your ex, and get on with your life. I would love to talk with you and help.
In addition to divorce counseling for adults, children, and teens, I offer divorce mediation for custody and parenting time issues, divorce consultation, and parenting coordination and decision making. I worked as a custody evaluator in our state for many years before devoting myself entirely to therapy, mediation, and consultation.
EMDR therapy has long been a part of my practice and is especially well-suited for divorce recovery work, as well as for other traumatic relationship issues such as verbal abuse or emotional abuse. Oh, and I have a wonderful group for adolescent girls! As me about it!

Marian Camden's Groups

Adolescent Girls Group

Adolescent girls meet to share and learn from each other, as well as from the therapist. They learn relationship and self-esteem skills, how to be successful in school and with parents, how to think about what to do if big problems come up (like self-harm/cutting, substance abuse, sexual acting out), and how to be happier! DBT and CBT skills are included along with mindfulness and arts and crafts. Peer influence on teens is very strong, as we know. Why not use it in a positive way?
